The Jakarta Trio is a professional classical chamber music group based in Jakarta, Indonesia which consists of three well-known young classical musicians in the country ; Giovani Biga (Violin), Carla Suharto (Piano) and Bryant Gozali (Cello). Their first appearance was in summer 2019 as they toured in 4 cities and 5 concerts ; Bali (Ubud and Legian), Jakarta, Bandung and Tangerang. This was followed by an official launching on Metro TV on September 14th 2019.
Due to the COVID-19 in the 2020-2021 season, many of Jakarta Trio’s concerts were either cancelled or delayed. Despite the pandemic, the Jakarta Trio was able to come together and keep the music alive, appearing on Metro TV to show how they can still play together while socially distancing from one another, performing in Jakarta Sinfonietta’s Beethoven 2020 Chamber Music Online Festival, as well as Bandung Philharmonic’s Chamber Music Concert: Isolation.
During the Jakarta Trio 2020-2021 Season, they were also asked to be the Juries of the innaugural Musikklasikgram National Competition 2020 for Piano, Violin and Cello.
Jakarta Trio 2021-2022 Season started off with a collaboration alongside Jakarta Sinfonietta, performing Beethoven’s Triple Concerto in C, under the baton of Iswargia Renardi Sudarno, which was streamed Live on the 9th and 10th of October, 2021.
